Blnkr Home Relay Switch with Wifi
The BLNKR project was my first attempt at working with the Arduino unit as a prototyping device. I wanted to create a switch that could connect with other switches (or a phone application) in the house via a wireless LAN connection. The switch is a self contained module that fits within a standard single gang wall box. Each individual switch sends a signal to a home router with the status (I/O) and how long it has been on. The mobile application allows users with one or more switches installed to turn on or off individual switches, or create zones that can be controlled with macros. In addition to the simple on/off functionality of the switches, they can also be programmed from the app to be timed or disabled for certain parts of the day.
